Running in circles
Dear High School Track, Let's keep running in circles.
I love spinning around and around the track at 5am with Janet, listening to the Electronic Cardio Radio playlist. This morning I wore my New Balance Minimus zero drop shoes because I haven't worn them in many, many months. They have been neglected. Normally I would wear my Newtons for a track run. Those springy actuator lugs really do make you run faster. I like to keep track (ha!) of the miles by switching lanes for each loop. The first lap is lane 1, the second is lane 2 and lane 4 closes out the mile, plus a bit extra for running in the outer lanes. I love running at the track every once in awhile because my pace is so much faster than my trail running pace. A good track run will be 8.23, while a good trail run will be in the high 10's depending on the elevation.
