Expecting to see a velociraptor.

Dear Wai'hee,

I am humbled by your steep, muddy, slippery trail. You are a tough girl but it's all worth it when I reach the top of the ridge that overlooks the ocean to the East and a narrow canyon of steep green pali to the West. On the way back I spotted a wild orchid in the mist. The final stretch on the way back is covered in prehistoric looking roots, bright green flora and dark shiny mud. It's slippery and treacherous if you're running. The way up is much easier than the way down, as with most muddy steep trails.
