Pink Oleander

Dear Iron Horse Trail,

You offer miles and miles of an endless, shaded, flat route. Today there is a lovely morning light illuminating the path and the foliage between the tall tree branches. These pink flowers shouted out and asked me to stop and take a photo.

On this trip I've been doing a six mile out and back. Less than a trail run, but I keep a brisk pace. It's relatively hot so I like to go early when it's cooler. I queue up my playlist and park in one of the three spots at the the trailhead. The tiny parking lot is always full when I get back. Some days I park in the grocery store parking lot and hope I won't get towed. So far, so good.
