Flat tire. Again.

Dear Las Virgenes Road,

Your new blacktop is super sexy and oh, so, smooth. Even Driver Avenue got an upgrade, so my route has suddenly become smooth as butter which makes a big difference in the dark. But there is a lot of debris on Las Virgenes Road from the ongoing construction process. I ran over something and instantly heard a loud snap and pop.

Flat tire. Again. Back tire. Again. Saved by Janet. Again.

This is the second flat in a month. This time it was at the beginning of our ride, not the end. Janet is on a tight schedule now that school has started and she has to carpool the kids. We had to cut the ride short. Sigh. Janet fixed the flat like she did last time. She's become a pro at this. We did a shorter loop and rode off into the sunrise.
