Dear Olinda,
The drive up is spectacular and your springs are prehistoric. It is a steep descent to Waihou springs and at the bottom are huge tumbled boulders covered in moss and a dripping spring collecting water in the corner. Looking up are steep cliffs with caves and a circle of trees at the top letting the light through the middle.
