Walnut Orchards

Dear Sugarloaf,

You are my new favorite trail. I am grateful that your rolling hills and large oaks and walnut trees exists in the middle of urban towns and cities. It's hard to believe your trails are right next to a major freeway. I'm grateful for your open space for coyotes, deer, birds, squirrels and others. I wish we could allocate more open, free space specifically and only for non-humans.

Your highlights for humans are expansive, unobstructed views of Mt Diablo, balancing rocks on the stretch between Orchard and Center trials, a walnut orchard, deer and coyotes.
