Lafayette Ridge Trail
Dear Lafayette Ridge,
Nice to meet. I met you online after studying open space maps for the East Bay. You were a little confusing because you are primarily associated with Briones Open Space which features Martinez trails and yet you are right here in my background. I decided to meet you although I had no idea what to expect, if I could even find you.
You couldn't be more accessible, off a main road with big signage and large parking lot. You are a gracious host! I found you immediately. Plenty of parking on weekend morning.
This trail is part of the Briones open space is tucked into Lafayette, just minutes from the 24 freeway. It's a wide fire-road-type trail that's fully exposed with no shade so it is best visited in the early morning or evening when the sun is low on the horizon.
Big sky views and spacious views of Mt Diablo.
