Hello EMAR

As soon as I landed on Maui and moved into my temporary one month rental I started looking for volunteer jobs with animal rescue organizations. I found Boo Boo Zoo and I filled out the application. I didn't hear back, so I called. Sylvan answered and he said to come in on Wednesday when Gail could train me.

I showed up and Gail whisked me through a couple of hours of scooping litter boxes, sweeping floors, mopping floors, wiping down walls, and about 10 loads of laundry. I was shocked. I had no idea how much work was involved. I barely had a chance to pet one cat. But as soon as I put down fresh towels for these sweet kitties they cuddled and rolled and sniffed and stretched. They smiled. I smiled. I was hooked. I couldn't wait to come back.
