Tony's Emerald Eyes

Tony is a beautiful, elegant cat with brilliant emerald green eyes. When Tony arrived at the refuge he had a tumor on his neck. In addition to regular vet visits and treatments, we gave him Essiac tonic which had worked well for one of our other cats. His tumor disappeared within about 6 weeks and didn't return.

When you meet Tony, the first thing you notice is his intense green eyes. He will stare deep into your eyes, so you just might be mesmerized by this amazing kitty. Once he's locked you into his gaze he will start meowing with increasing volume until you pick him up for some cuddling.

Tony is always on the lookout for warm laundry fresh out of the dryer. He's one of two "laundry" cats - Baby Blue is the other one. As soon as I empty the dryer and fill up a basket with fresh, warm towels he saunters over and gracefully jumps into the cozy pile. I carefully plan the laundry workflow so that I can provide a new, warm basket when I take away the other basket to fold.

Tony is a very vocal cat. He knows how to ask for attention and cuddles. He begins with a standard, patient meow. However, if you don't respond quickly enough and pick him up, he strategically changes the pitch to a desperate and demanding tone which has immediate results.
