Tara's Blessing

Tara was with us for a brief time. When she first arrived we couldn’t handle her without heavy weight, shoulder length gloves. Even though she was terribly skinny, she could fight like a lion. In the first few days she would hiss and growl as we tried to change out her kennel. Jessica reached out and held her and Tara instantly became a sweetheart. She had a thyroid problem that caused her to be so skinny. She was in the kennel until we could get her healthy enough to be out in one of the rooms. Once she relaxed she was very sweet and enjoyed being pet. It's very difficult to write this post because we all loved Tara. She was taken to the vet, Veni was there with her, she was suffering and she was put down. I had just tried an experiment to see if Sweetie would accept another cat in the house so I could bring Tara home for her last days. But Sweetie did not respond well to the experimental kitty visit (with the gorgeous, sweet, mellow Poochie) and Tara did not come home.
